Do you remember ACORN, the liberal community organizing organization President Obama once worked for, that was busted by undercover journalists? Among their offenses: knowingly aiding in tax evasion, aiding proposed underage prostitution and sex-slave rings, and voter fraud. Here’s an interesting bit of perspective on the electorate at large: Rasmussen Reports conducted a poll that [...]

Welcome to Martyr-itaville. Fox News’s Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld announced yesterday that he is raising funds from investors to open a gay bar for gay Muslims. If that wasn’t controversial enough, considering Islam’s strong anti-homosexual stance, then the location of the proposed Muslim gay bar will certainly send some people into apoplectic seizures. Gutfeld [...]

A federal judge has struck down California’s gay marriage ban known as Proposition 8, a constitutional measure approved by voters in 2008. The judge said the ban violated the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. This ruling will have no effect on the ban until the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals makes a decision. [...]

Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin’s grandson, now acknowledges he lied about Governor Palin and her family last year when he engaged in a public feud with the Palins about their personal lives. Johnston shared his fibs on several TV shows and even claimed he had information that could destroy the governor. Of course, [...]

Over in the Oklahoma Gazette, J. Simms wins our award for Idiot of the Week. Here’s his letter to the editor, quoted in part: “I have read your so-called magazine for the very last time. The June 23 issue was filled with filth supporting the gay agenda. Regarding the gay pride weekend, who cares? “Your [...]

A few days ago Mike McCarville posted this graphic as evidence that our society was on the decline. We’d like to add our own links to that evidence. This should make your skin burn. First, a man kills his child over the World Cup: Texas police have arrested a man accused of fatally beating his [...]

McCarville Report, I love you. I really do. I check you many times a day. But if you automatically redirect my web browser to another dumb advertisement for snake oil of one kind or another without my permission, I may punch a hole in my monitor. And if my monitor is broken then I won’t [...]

Michael Petrilli in the Wall Street Journal: “What’s needed is a full-fledged effort to cultivate “Whole Foods Republicans”—independent-minded voters who embrace a progressive lifestyle but not progressive politics. These highly-educated individuals appreciate diversity and would never tell racist or homophobic jokes; they like living in walkable urban environments; they believe in environmental stewardship, community service [...]

Apparently those Bostonians take jury duty so seriously they require cats to participate: Duty calls for an East Boston resident. Someone is getting called for jury duty…but it’s no human. A family is trying to figure out how their pet cat was summonsed for jury duty. “I said, Sal, what’s this? You know, I don’t [...]

The prominence of social networking sites like Facebook in political campaigns is rising as evidenced by two events that happened just this past week.
Last night President Barack Obama became the first President to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at an All-Star game since President Gerald Ford in 1976. But for the millions of fans tuning in on television, all they saw was President Obama’s wind up and release. None of the dozen or so Fox cameras actually [...]
The reality is that were Chad not the son of Ernest Istook this would not be a story. Whether its Bristol Palin, the Bush twins, or Chelsea Clinton (oops we forgot, she was and is off limits to the mainstream press), the press’ obsession with the peccadillos of politician’s family members is a sad statement about the poor quality of journalism today. It’s also another example of why so many otherwise qualified people choose not to run for public office.
